Last Day in Tokyo
Exploring Tokyo is always an adventure, especially today is our last day! We have Tokyo Station, Tokyo Imperial Palace and Odaiba in our list.
Tokyo Station
Our first stop, Tokyo Station is a dazzling blend of history, architecture, and modern hustle, embodying Japan’s mastery of reinvention. With its striking red-brick Marunouchi facade harking back to 1914 and a labyrinthine underground that could challenge even the savviest of adventurers, the station serves as both a time capsule and a future-forward hub. It survived wartime destruction, emerged with domes restored to their original glory, and now boasts everything from ramen havens and Pokémon stores to secret platforms (yes, Platform 0 exists!). Add in luxurious hotel suites, artful bento boxes, and a Shinkansen museum, and you’ve got a station that’s as much a destination as the trains it launches—Tokyo Station isn’t just a stop, it’s an experience worth missing your train for.

From Tokyo station we continue our walk to Tokyo Palace.

Tokyo Imperial palace
Tokyo Imperial Palace, the residence of Japan’s Emperor, is a stunning blend of history, culture, and natural beauty located in the heart of Tokyo. Built on the grounds of the former Edo Castle, the palace is surrounded by moats, stone walls, and lush gardens, creating a serene escape amidst the bustling city.
While the inner grounds are generally closed to the public, visitors can explore the East Gardens, which showcase the castle’s remnants and seasonal blooms. The palace plays a vital role in Japanese tradition, hosting official ceremonies and public greetings by the Emperor on special occasions. With its historical significance and tranquil ambiance, the Tokyo Imperial Palace is both a cultural treasure and a symbol of Japan’s enduring heritage.
