Tsukiji market, Sony and Disney Sea
Highlight of our Day 4 in Tokyo is Tsukiji Market and Disney Sea. We are starting our day visiting the famous Tsukiji Market. Just thinking about it already excited me.
Tsukiji Market

Visiting Tsukiji Market in Tokyo is a must for food lovers and cultural enthusiasts alike. Renowned as the world’s largest seafood market, Tsukiji market offers a vibrant blend of culinary experiences and local traditions.
We start early so we can witness the lively atmosphere as vendors showcase an astonishing variety of fresh seafood, from glistening tuna to exotic shellfish. Beyond seafood market we also explore stalls selling seasonal fruits, Japanese knives, and artisanal tableware.

From there we visit the outer Market, a maze of small shops and eateries. Here we savor sushi, sashimi, and tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet) made with the freshest ingredients. After tasting here and there from various stalls we finally pick a restaurant for lunch and tasted the best tuna and salmon sashimi I ever had in my life lol.

For a deeper cultural experience, you can join a cooking class or try your hand at sushi-making using market-fresh produce. Whether you’re sampling street food or learning about Japan’s culinary heritage, Tsukiji Market is an unforgettable destination that truly captures Tokyo’s spirit.
Sony Building
After our tummies are content we finally moved to visit Sony Building which was plan to be demolished this year. Hubby’s idea, not mine. I just want to go straight to Disney Sea, obviously. But marriage is about compromising so Sony Building it is.

After Hubby is satisfied we move to the most anticipated visit of the year: Tokyo Disney Sea…yaaay!
Tokyo Disney Sea

Tokyo DisneySea offers a one-of-a-kind adventure where you can explore seven uniquely themed ports of call, each brimming with immersive attractions, stunning architecture, and exciting entertainment. You can begin at Mediterranean Harbor, where gondola rides evoke the romance of Venice, then journey to the thrilling Mysterious Island to experience rides like Journey to the Center of the Earth and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Soar through the skies on Soaring: Fantastic Flight or dive into Arabian Coast for magical shows and the whimsical Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage.
Not to be missed is the vibrant Mermaid Lagoon, a colorful undersea world perfect for families, or venture to the Lost River Delta for adrenaline-pumping fun on Indiana Jones Adventure.

I have a classic dilemma all the first timer to Tokyo have: Choosing between Disneyland Vs Disney Sea. After a lot of research this is my conclusion: Tokyo DisneySea and Tokyo Disneyland each offer unique experiences that cater to different tastes, making them both worth visiting depending on what you’re looking for.
Tokyo Disneyland is a classic Disney park, brimming with family-friendly attractions, iconic Disney characters, and the nostalgic charm of Main Street, Cinderella’s Castle, and Fantasyland. It’s perfect for those seeking a quintessential Disney experience with timeless rides like Space Mountain and It’s a Small World. On the other hand, Tokyo DisneySea offers a more immersive and sophisticated experience, themed around exploration and the mysteries of the sea. With its stunning Mediterranean Harbor, thrilling rides like Journey to the Center of the Earth, and a more adult-friendly ambiance, DisneySea stands out as a unique park in the Disney universe. While Disneyland appeals to all ages with its magical, family-centric atmosphere, DisneySea is ideal for those looking for a one-of-a-kind, immersive adventure with a slightly more mature vibe.
So why we chose Disney Sea? because it is one of a kind and it is the only one in the world. We can visit Disneyland in other country. Secondly Fabio is almost 11 years old and he has grown out of Disney character while Alyssa on the other hand is barely 2 years alot and she doesn’t watch TV yet. So she has no idea on who’s what in the world of Disney. That makes our decision making easier.

What fascinates me as we visit Disney Sea is the local visitors especially the students. They were all wearing costumes and brings their dolls. They were even taking pictures of theirs dolls as if they were alive lol!
We stayed until the end and caped our day with cap off our day watching the breathtaking evening show at the harbor. DisneySea’s unparalleled attention to detail and atmosphere make it a truly unforgettable experience where adults can be children again.
